Screen Printing on Your Mugs

Through the culmination of 40 years developing solutions for printing mugs, we have perfected mug tooling with the customer in mind. The prongs coming out of the mug tooling are spongy, which is on purpose due to mugs slightly varying in size. The pusher attachment at the end of the tooling captures the part for precise control over where you would like the image on the mug.

The F1-DC is the industry standard for screen-printing on promotional products. The F1-DC can handle all different printing products. It is incredibly versatile. You can go from printing a growler to a mug in less than a minute.

SA mug tooling includes a fixture for your handle. This is not only for ease of use, but also as a means for registering multicolor screen printing. We will work with you through the entire process of printing on mugs, from sourcing the ink to creating the screen. Typically screens for mugs are H shaped to print as close to each handle of the mug as possible. SA offers universal screen mounting and can make you a screen frame you can use indefinitely, only needing to change the mesh when needed. One factor that will need to be addressed when mug printing is the inks you will be using. Solvent based inks are best if you are just getting started and are not investing in machines for higher production. Solvent based inks provide excellent ink adhesion. The ink can be cured in a minutes with an oven. UV inks are ideal for high production since the ink cures instantly when exposed to a UV curing system. UV ink is also much easier to work with (will not dry to screen) but is more susceptible to chipping. Fierosil pretreatment is your solution for ink chipping when using UV inks.
